"The rules for dating someone with Crohn's is no different than for any other human being: be with someone who accepts you wholeheartedly for who you are."
SARA'S CORNER: LESSONS FROM A HOSPITAL BED
After almost 2 years of miserable pain, doctors scratching their heads wondering what was wrong with her, and useless medications, Sara was diagnosed with Crohn's in May 2014. She is a senior at Rutgers and is double majoring in Communications and Psychology. She writes to share the emotional and social aspects of living with IBD. Sara brings humor and a refreshing honesty to her experiences.
When Sara is not in a flare, she loves to surround herself with music. An avid musical theater fan, Sara has seen over 20 Broadway shows. She loves to sing, and anyone who knows her would probably find it hard to get her to shut up. She loves to read, and is secretly a hoarder of books. She is addicted to Lindt Dark Chocolate Truffles and considers herself to be (when she's physically up to the challenge) a connoisseur of cheeseburgers and fries. However, the most important thing you should know about Sara is how incredibly fortunate she feels to be surrounded by the people in her life who unconditionally love and support her.
